  • Those who earned master's or professional degrees on 23 March 2023

  • Those who have a fever, respiratory symptoms, or otherwise feel unwell on the day of the ceremony are requested to refrain from attending.
  • Wearing a mask is optional. For the safety of all attendees, however, please follow basic precautions, such as not talking loudly.
  • Attendees will be asked to present their student ID cards when entering the venue.
  • Formal attire is not required, but attendees are asked to dress appropriately for the occasion.
  • The ceremony will be live-streamed at:

  • Please note that in addition to live-streaming the ceremony, Kyoto University may publish videos and images from the event on its websites, pamphlets, and other media. The University appreciates your understanding.

To avoid crowding, family members are asked to consider watching the ceremony via the link above instead of from the hall.

  • All attendees will be subjected to temperature checks at the venue, and will be denied entrance if found to have a body temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher.
  • Please do not hold any additional events that involve eating and drinking in connection with the graduation ceremony.
  • To current students and others in charge of running an official farewell event: Take all appropriate measures to minimize the risk of infection; make sure that there will be no eating and drinking, and that participants maintain appropriate distance.
