Opening a bank account

By opening an account at a post office or a bank, students will be able to deposit and transfer money, arrange automatic withdrawal for public utilities and credit card payments, etc.

To open a bank / postal saving account

Required Items (may vary by banks/ post offices)

1. Passport
2. Resident Card (Alien Registration Card), and/or National Health Insurance Card
3. Personal seal ( inkan )
   * Not needed for postal account. Some banks accept signature as a substitute for ' inkan '
4. Cash for deposit

• Student discount for public transportation

• Commuting by bicycle
• Municipal services and birth registration
