Through photographs, historical commentary, and interviews with experts involved in its preservation and management, this book introduces the Seifuso Villa — a privately held cultural property comprised of a garden designed by Jihei Ogawa VII and a building by Jinbei Yagi II — detailing its history from its establishment to the present day.
With the publication of this English edition of the original 2021 volume, Kyoto University wishes to share the rich history and academic significance of the villa with international visitors and to broaden public awareness and interest in this unique property.
