Applications for places at the Women's Dormitory are accepted as per the guidelines below. The women's dormitory has one barrier-free room. If you wish to apply for this room, please consult the administrative staff (details below) at the time of application.

Application guidelines

The Kyoto University Women's Dormitory Residence Application Guidelines for AY 2026 (Oct.) 

Notes:

  1. Current residents who are newly enrolling in a KyotoU program, such as advancing from a Faculty to a Graduate School, are required to reapply.
  2. With priority given to those with financial difficulties, government-sponsored students are  considered ineligible.
  3. Interviews will be conducted online via Zoom. They cannot be scheduled on dates other than those listed in the application guidelines.
  4. AY 2026 is the academic year from April 2026 to March 2027.

Note

Please note that the administrative office will be closed on weekends, national holidays, and from Monday 10 to Wednesday 12 August 2026. Inquiries received during these periods cannot be answered until the office reopens.

  2. The applicant's residence card 

    (please convert it to PDF and email it with the Application Form)
