Using an AED

AEDs are intended for use on anyone requiring defibrillation, especially those in cardiac or respiratory arrest and exhibiting ECG features of ventricular fibrillation. Usage is simple; turn the device on, place the defibrillation pads on the patient, and following the voice instructions and if prompted, press the defibrillation button.
