On 7 April, the 2026 Undergraduate Entrance Ceremony took place at the Kyoto International Exhibition Hall 'Miyako Messe' with guests including Dr Juichi Yamagiwa, former KyotoU president, and Dr Yasuhiro Tsujimoto, project leader at the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS), as well as the University's provost, executive vice-president for education, student affairs, and admissions, and other relevant deans and directors.
The ceremony featured remarks from President Nagahiro Minato and Dr Tsujimoto for the matriculating class of 2,942 students.
