A new company, BioLabs Academy GK, has been established, led by BioLabs, the world's largest life science incubator, to provide entrepreneurial education and support services for researchers and startup companies in Japan. Kyoto University and its wholly owned subsidiary, Kyoto University Innovation Capital Co., Ltd. (Kyoto iCAP), will participate as collaboration partners, including supporting BioLabs Academy's educational programs.
BioLabs Academy will work closely with Kyoto University and its affiliated organizations, while also fostering collaborations with universities and research institutions across Japan. Based in Kyoto and serving researchers nationwide, BioLabs Academy aims to foster entrepreneurial researchers through high-impact programs and hands-on mentorship.
Founded in 2010 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, BioLabs has a proven track record of supporting entrepreneurs in the biotech industry. Today, it has grown into a global innovation platform operating more than 20 locations across the United States, France, Germany, and Japan.
BioLabs Academy aims to provide a structured, repeatable path to venture creation based on the international best practices developed by BioLabs and adapted to Japan's research environment.
