On Friday 21 and Thursday 27 October, the Division of Graduate Studies hosted a poster presentation and research exchange event for the doctoral students supported by either of its two programs: Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation (SPRING Program) and the Kyoto University Science and Technology Innovation Fellowship Program (Fellowship). The meeting, 'Poster presentations and research exchanges by SPRING Fellows and Fellowship recipients', was the division's first-ever in-person event for these students. It was organized with the aim of helping participants hone their research skills through the experience of presenting and discussing their projects with peers from other graduate schools and laboratories.
Each day began with greetings from the division director, Professor Masahiko Egami, followed by poster presentation sessions, in which 40 students participated on the 21st, and 41 on the 27th.

The presenters were joined each day by over 50 students and faculty members, who came to learn about and discuss their research across disciplinary boundaries.
A representative from the Association of Industry-Academia for *C-ENGINE* -- or *Collaborative Education for Next-Generation INnovators & Exploration of knowledge intersections* -- delivered a special talk on its research internship program. Additionally, eight of the C-ENGINE member companies ran separate booths offering feedback and consultation on research and internship.
