FY2020 Degree Conferment Ceremony (24 March 2021)

On 24 March, Kyoto University held the FY2020 Degree Conferment Ceremony at the Kyoto International Exhibition Hall, Miyako Messe, with Executive Vice-Presidents, Deans, and Directors, as well as former President Juichi Yamagiwa in attendance.

The degrees conferred were 2,184 master's degrees, 159 professional master's degrees, 128 juris doctor degrees, and 585 doctoral degrees, the last of which were issued 24 November 2020, 25 January 2021, and 23 March 2021, 543 for coursework and 42 for dissertations.

The doctorate recipients included 22 graduates of Leading Graduate School Programs, launched in 2012, and two graduates of the Doctoral Programs for World-Leading Innovative and Smart Education (WISE Programs), inaugurated in 2018.

The ceremony featured an address by President Nagahiro Minato, delivered after presenting a diploma to each student representative.
