On 2 October, Kyoto University hosted a ceremony to mark the inauguration of its 28th President, Yasuto Tachikawa, and new executive vice-presidents, who all had taken office the previous day.
At the ceremony, held at the University Head Office, President Tachikawa delivered an inaugural address to faculty and staff, followed by the introduction of the eight newly appointed EVPs: Rie Asayama, Kyoko Inagaki, Masahiko Egami, Masahiro Ohshima, Hiroshi Kitagawa, Kaoru Kitajima, Tetsuo Sawaragi, and Mitsunari Yoshida. The EVPs then gave their own remarks.
Afterward, President Tachikawa held a press conference to share his aspirations as the University's new leader.
