On 24 September, Kyoto University held its Autumn 2026 Degree Conferment Ceremony at the Clock Tower Centennial Hall, with President Nagahiro Minato, the provost, the executive vice-president for education, student affairs, and admissions, and relevant deans and directors in attendance.
The degrees conferred were as follows: 42 doctoral degrees by coursework and five doctoral degrees by dissertation issued on 25 May (a total of 47 degrees), 34 doctoral degrees by coursework and two doctoral degrees by dissertation issued on 23 July (a total of 36 degrees), and 95 master's degrees, five professional master's degrees, 116 doctoral degrees by coursework, and 10 doctoral degrees by dissertation, issued on 24 September (a total of 226 degrees), making a grand total of 309 degrees.
The doctorate recipients included one graduate of a Leading Graduate School Program and five graduates of WISE Programs.
The ceremony featured an address by President Minato, delivered after presenting a diploma to each student representative.
