On 29 November 2024, the International Education and Student Mobility Division, in collaboration with the International Academic Research and Resource Center for Language Education (iARRC) of the Institute for Liberal Arts and Sciences (ILAS), hosted this semester's Kyoteiko Hiroba, or 'Partner Universities Square', in the lobby of the ILAS Bldg. A total of 95 students participated, including prospective and current exchange students and those interested in studying abroad.

The event featured presentations by exchange students in English, introducing 11 partner universities: the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Sydney, the University of Vienna, Chalmers University of Technology, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Heidelberg University, the University of Bonn, the University of Helsinki, National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilizations, University College London, and the University of Leeds. For the first time, the session was conducted in a "flash talk" format, with each presenter delivering an engaging talk within two minutes.

This was followed by a free discussion session, where KyotoU students eagerly gathered around the speakers to ask individual questions.

With these sessions the event effectively showcased the partner universities while also highlighting the cultural and regional appeal of each location, inspiring many prospective exchange students to strengthen their aspirations for studying abroad.
