On 25 September, Kyoto University held its Autumn 2023 Degree Conferment Ceremony at the Clock Tower Centennial Hall with President Nagahiro Minato, the executive vice-president for education, student affairs, and admissions, and relevant deans and directors in attendance.
The degrees conferred were 98 master's degrees, five professional master's degrees, and 208 doctoral degrees, the last of which were issued 23 May, 24 July, and 25 September 2023, 183 for coursework and 25 for dissertations.
The doctorate recipients included six graduates of Leading Graduate School Programs and one graduate of a WISE Program.
The ceremony featured an address by President Minato, delivered after presenting a diploma to each student representative.
