From 15 to 26 November, the Graduate School of Asian and African Area Studies (ASAFAS) held online the "Internship Program for Trans-disciplinary and Trans-regional Problem Oriented Research in Asia and Africa" as part of the Kyoto University Wild & Wise Collaborative Learning Program.

Participants included eight short-term exchange students from seven Asian and African institutions: Vietnam National University, Hanoi; the University of Indonesia; the University of Mahajanga; Addis Ababa University; the University of Yaoundé I; the University of Peradeniya; and Tribhuvan University. They were joined and supported in collaborative learning by ten KyotoU students.

After opening with a ceremony on 15 November, the program featured a virtual fieldwork experience on the 18th and a workshop with ASAFAS students on the final day.
