2021 Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers include five from KyotoU

On 16 November 2021, Clarivate Plc announced this year's list of Highly Cited Researchers, including five from Kyoto University.

Highly Cited Researchers are selected annually from across the globe based on the number of highly cited papers they produced over an 11-year period. The annual list comprises over 6,600 researchers, recognized for authoring multiple papers that "rank in the top 1% by citations" in their fields. Awards are given in 21 science and social-science categories and one cross-field category.

The 2021 Highly Cited Researchers are 6,602 individuals from over 70 countries and regions, and include the following five from Kyoto University.
