For 13 days, twelve students and two faculty members from Kasetsart University, located at Bangkok, Thailand, visited Kyoto University.
It is a part of the international exchange course, "Changing Southeast Asia-Environment, Industry and Society", joint program between Kasetsart University and the Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University, in corporation with the Organization for the Promotion of International Relations, Kyoto University. This year, the support for the program was given also by the Educational Unit for Human Security Development.
In this program, Kyoto University invited Kasetsart members and organized classes and trips. While Thai students stayed in Kyoto, in addition to attending lectures, they were introduced to traditional Japanese cultures such as Yuzen-zome and dressing in kimono. Also, they took field trips to local areas to learn their history, industry, and natural environments.
Students of Kyoto University, who had visited Kasetsart University in the past programs, also participated actively in the program to deepen their relationships.
