デンマークのメディアでは、ナノテクノロジーはどのように扱われているのでしょうか。
第８回生命科学と社会のコミュニケーション研究会では、テキストやイメージの解析を元に社会における科学について研究しているオーフス大学（デンマーク）のKristian Hvidtfelt Nielsen助教授に、ナノテクノロジーを題材に話していただきます。
生命科学と社会のコミュニケーション研究会は、生命科学あるいは科学と社会の関係について興味や関心をお持ちの方を対象とした研究会です。

| 演題 | Science and technology in the media: Textual and visual analyses |
| 講演概要 | In my talk, I will give an introduction to media studies of science in public. Media discourses play an important role in setting the public agenda for science and technology. Also, the media shapes most citizens' view on science and technology. Systematic attention to media texts and images is needed in order to understand how the media depicts science and technology. Today, there is a growing body of research analysing the risks and benefits of the way in which the media frames science and technology. Drawing from my own work on the framing of nanotechnology in Danish media, I will provide some examples of media analyses of science and technology. |
