Comments from Mr Yanai

It is a great honor to receive such a prestigious title. I believe that overcoming cancers and viruses is the greatest medical challenge facing the world. Through research at Kyoto University, Professor Honjo and Professor Yamanaka selflessly work to overcome these complex problems, and I truly hope these activities bear fruit. I also believe in doing good for the sake of all people and will continue working hard alongside these two professors, who have dedicated their lives to benefitting humanity.
