Kyoto University and Ritsumeikan University jointly hosted an event called "Kyotalk: Study in Kyoto, Go Global" at the Hiroshima branch of the Sundai Preparatory School.

Not only does Kyoto have a rich cultural heritage but also offers many other attractions; for example, the city is renowned for its tradition of treating students with hospitality and being home to a number of leading high-tech companies.

Kyotalk is designed to enable university students to share their individual experiences of studying at their respective institutions with high school students, and to promote dialogue in an interactive setting.

The event kicked off with a live performance by an a cappella group called Clef from Ritsumeikan University, followed by a quiz contest presented by Kyoto University's quiz society. Students gave individual presentations about their respective universities, and took part in a panel discussion about the attractions of living in Kyoto as a student. The free discussion time that followed went on past the scheduled time, as all of the students evidently had a great deal to talk about with one another.
