On 2 July, Jakarta Kyodai Yoshida Kai, a KyotoU alumni association based in the Indonesian capital, held its annual assembly at Veranda Hotel in the city of South Jakarta, with KyotoU Alumni (KUA) co-hosting.

Jakarta Kyodai Yoshida Kai consists of around 80 graduates based in or connected to the capital city, and includes Japanese Embassy staff, company employees, and master's students. Its 2019 assembly was attended by 19 alumni, among whom was a Singapore resident visiting Jakarta for business.

Jakarta Kyodai Yoshida Kai's Chairman Hirofumi Takeda (Faculty of Agriculture 1983) opened the meeting with his remarks, stating "I wish you all every success as you continue striving to fulfill your responsibilities to the world, others, and Indonesia." This was followed by reports on the alumni activities carried out during the previous fiscal year, presented by Chief Secretary Hiroaki Watanabe (Faculty of Law 1996) and other executives of the association, whose FY2019 action plan was then approved by the attending members.

The event also featured the unveiling of the newly produced Jakarta Kyodai Yoshida Kai flag, and included a meet-and-greet, where attendees shared updates on their business and personal lives, inspiring each other across sectors.
