Kyoto University Summer Design School is a three-day intensive design workshop that enables participants and facilitators with different areas of expertise to work together in small groups, each dedicated to a specific theme designing solutions for real-world problems.

University graduate/undergraduate students, company employees, and other members of the local community. Participants must be able to attend all three days.

  • Students of host/co-host universities*: 1,000 yen
  • Other students: 3,000 yen
  • Employees of host/co-host universities* and of member organizations of the Design Innovation Consortium: 3,000 yen
  • Others: 10,000 yen
    • * Kyoto University, Kyoto City University of Arts, and Kyoto Institute of Technology

The event will be held in English, with no translation to Japanese provided.

Name-tag cases will be available at the registration desk. Attendees are encouraged to insert their business cards into these cases for use as name tags.

Registration will be available via:
http://www.design.kyoto-u.ac.jp/sds2018/en/

And take place according to the following schedule:
  • Tuesday 17 July — Advance Registration 1 (for students of Kyoto University, Kyoto City University of Arts, and Kyoto Institute of Technology)
  • Monday 23 July — Advance Registration 2 (for students and faculty/staff of Kyoto University, Kyoto City University of Arts, and Kyoto Institute of Technology, and members of Design Innovation Consortium)
  • Monday 30 July — General Registration (for all participants)
报名截止时间
Friday 3 August 2018
  • Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • A maximum of six (6) will be accepted per design theme. Registration will close when all positions are filled.
