Consisting of Kyoto University Japanese graduates residing in South Korea, Seoul Rakuyukai has been actively engaged in various activities, including the organization of a joint meeting in April with Kyoto University Korea Alumni (an association comprised of Kyoto University Korean graduates residing in South Korea), which was also attended by President Matsumoto.
According to information provided by Seoul Rakuyukai, Mr. Katsuhiro Kuroda (1964 graduate from the Faculty of Economics)--chair of Seoul Rakuyukai as well as a special correspondent in Seoul and editorial writer for the Sankei Shimbun newspaper--contributed an article to a feature story, "The Secrets of Kyoto University," which introduces Kyoto University to South Korean readers, in the 44th anniversary issue of Weekly Chosun, a weekly magazine published by Chosun Ilbo Co. in South Korea.
We hope in the future there will be more activities like this that provide the public with information about the university.
