Euro Rakuyukai holds the "Thames Cool Breeze Cruise"

July 26, 2010

The Euro Rakuyukai held the "Thames Cool Breeze Cruise." This is already the fourth event by the Euro Rakuyukai since its founding in February 6 of this year. The membership already exceeds 70.

This event was organized by Masaru Ito (graduated from the Faculty of Economics in 1993), Mr. Toshimi Teranishi (graduated from the Faculty of Letters in 1999) and Mr. Naoto Nishimura (graduated from the Graduate School of Human and Environmental Studies, master's program, in 2004). The pleasure cruise on the Thames provided a view of the cityscape from a different angle, making it a new and special experience for all, even those residing in London.

After the cruise, a social gathering was held at a famous pub nearby. In addition to the Euro Rakuyukai members, their friends were also invited, and despite it being a weekday, 25 people attended. The social gathering was an exciting place of opinion exchanges by a diverse pool of people, from students residing in graduate schools of London, Oxford and Cambridge to high-ranking corporate officials, transcending generations and fields of expertise. It was a wonderful night for all to strengthen the ties among people living in a foreign country.

Aiming to be an organization that supports those working in Europe in both public and private aspects, the Euro Rakuyukai intends to continue hosting various events.
