Four years after the 2011 nuclear disaster, rebuilding Fukushima remains a complex challenge despite the wide-ranging environmental-restoration efforts that have since been undertaken. While the recovery efforts required span a diversity of scientific disciplines, experts on radiation, radioactivity, and other related fields clearly have a particularly important role to play in the work involved.
Comprised of lectures, poster presentations, and panel discussions, the International Symposium on "Radiological Issues for Fukushima's Revitalized Future" invites experts, researchers, and the general public to together examine and discuss the issues that require action as part of the recovery process.
The event is centered on lectures and panel discussions by invited experts, but also includes poster presentations by members of the general public. The organizers are looking forward to receiving diverse submissions as well as attracting a large attendance.
