The deadlines specified in the above list are for the programs themselves and NOT for applications through Kyoto University, which typically close a month or more earlier to allow time for a nominee selection process.
Note: Beginning with scholarships for 2019-2020, the application process will change as detailed below:
Please also note that all scholarship programs require applicants to have "Student" residence status; recipients lacking this must return the scholarship received for the month during which the change occurred. Many programs also require a high level of Japanese proficiency.
Participants will be subject to Kyoto University's own regulations, including not applying for nor receiving more than one scholarship at a time.
