Fund established to support DPRI's Ujigawa Open Laboratory

Published on

Kyoto University is accepting donations through the Kyoto University Fund (KUF) to help finance its education, research, and public service activities. In addition to the General Purpose Fund, dedicated to supporting efforts related to student assistance, research promotion, and public service, KUF operates a broad range of Special Purpose Funds, through which donors can contribute to specific programs, departments, or activities.

Among these special-purpose funds is the newly established Ujigawa Open Laboratory Fund, which supports the Disaster Prevention Research Center's (DPRI) research and other activities involving the use of this laboratory.

Committed to connecting cutting-edge research with community efforts to reduce disaster risk, DPRI intends to utilize the donations received to outfit, maintain, and operate experimental equipment at the Ujigawa Open Laboratory, as well as to provide training for disaster-related organizations and the general public.

Kyoto University appreciates your support for the Ujigawa Open Laboratory Fund.
