The annual clock tower concert, co-hosted by Kyoto University and Kyoto City University of Arts (KCUA), took place at the Clock Tower Centennial Hall, Kyoto University, entitled "Lecture and Concert for the 260th Anniversary of the Birth of Mozart; All about Mozart -- his Symphonies and Operas--". With Professor Toshie Kakinuma of the Faculty of Music, KCUA, as moderator, Professor Nobutaka Masui of KCUA delivered briefings between the music performances. In the first half of the concert, KCUA's academy orchestra of the graduate school performed well-known classics, such as "the Marriage of Figaro: Overture", "the Symphony No 1", and "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik". Joined by KCUA graduate students studying opera, arias from "the Magic Flute" were performed in the latter half. The emotional performance was well received by the audience, who filled the Hall almost to its full capacity.

The audience left heartwarming comments, such as: "All of the tunes performed today were very familiar, so I enjoyed listening to them throughout the event ", "The concert gave us a very rich experience as it was comprised of relatively short and famous tunes, elaborately presented opera, and casual briefings", and "An enjoyable choice of music, very lively performance. I could see the hard work of the music students."
