KyotoU Environmental Report recognized with Environmental Communication Award for third consecutive year (20 February 2019)

Kyoto University Environmental Report 2018 (published September 2018) has received the award for excellence in the Environmental Reports category at the 22nd Environmental Communication Awards, administrated jointly by the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) and the Global Environmental Forum (GEF). This marks the third straight year that the University has won this distinction.

The Awards recognize outstanding examples of environmental and environmental-management reporting, with the aim of encouraging efforts by Japanese organizations to enhance their environmental management, communication, and disclosure practices.

For the 22nd Awards, a total of 314 applications were submitted between 5 October and 5 November, 196 for the Environmental Reports and 118 for the Environmental Activity Reports categories.

The award ceremony took place Wednesday 20 February 2019 at Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo, where members of the KyotoU Environment, Safety, and Health Division received the certificate and "silver" logo, which excellence award winners are allowed to use in their environmental reporting.
