Three KyotoU students selected for 2017 Ikushi Prize from JSPS (30 January 2018)

Three Kyoto University doctoral students have been selected to receive the 2017 Ikushi Prize from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Sciences (JSPS).

The award ceremony is set to take place Tuesday 6 March 2018 at the Japan Academy (Nippon Gakushi-in) in Tokyo.

The JSPS Ikushi Prize, established in 2010 and now in its eight year, annually recognizes outstanding doctoral students who are expected to lead the development of Japanese academic research, so as to enhance their motivation for research and support their career development.

Okazaki, Nakamuro, and Mizumoto are among 18 students selected out of 152 nominees for the 2017 Prize, by a nine-member selection committee after a preliminary screening by the JSPS Research Center for Science Systems.
