An English-language brochure highlighting the achievements of Kyoto University-affiliated scholars, entitled, LAUREATES: Award-Winning Scholars at Kyoto University, has been released to the public.
The publication introduces a selection of the Kyoto University faculty members and alumni whose achievements have been acknowledged by prestigious international awards. It covers the awards conferred from 1949 to 2013, and provides a brief profile of each researcher and summary of the awarded achievement. The brochure comprises the following eight chapters.
- Chapter 1: Nobel Prize
- Chapter 2: Gauss Prize, Wolf Prize, Fields Medal, and Albert Lasker Award
- Chapter 3: Kyoto Prize, Japan Prize, and Honda Prize
- Chapter 4: International Awards in Science and Engineering
- Chapter 5: International Awards in Medicine and Life Science
- Chapter 6: International Awards in Humanities and Social Science
- Chapter 7: Order of Culture, Japan
- Chapter 8: Imperial Prize of the Japan Academy
