The three-day symposium is composed of two parts -- "New Spatiality on Asian and African Area Studies" and "Voices for the Future: African Area Studies in a Globalizing World", the former featuring French scholars based mainly at EHESS, and the latter, Japanese scholars from Kyoto University. There will also be poster presentations by young scholars from Japan and Korea.
No reservation is required, and admission is free. All those interested are welcome to attend.
