Powerful typhoon No 20 (Cimaron) is currently approaching west Japan, and is expected to make landfall on Thursday 23 or Friday 24 August. Kyoto University is currently in summer break, but some Faculties and Graduate Schools may be offering special courses, which may be cancelled in response to weather warnings.
Cancellation decisions will be made by individual Faculties and Graduate Schools based on the typhoon’s effect on transportation services and on official weather advisories, so please pay attention to relevant announcements about the weather and transportation services, as well as updates from your Faculty or Graduate School.
Extracurricular activities may also be subject to cancellation depending on weather conditions.
