On Tuesday 8 October, Kyoto University will hold a public lecture by Dr Ashwani Kumar, former Union Minister for Law and Justice of India. The lecture is entitled "India-Japan Global and Strategic Engagement: A Promise of Peace and Stability in Asia", and will focus on how Japan and India have evolved a 'Special Strategic and Global Partnership' by expanding people-to-people contacts and cultural ties.
