Meeting of Kyoto University Gifu Alumni (Rakuyukai) (July 28, 2013)

A regular biennial meeting of Kyoto University Gifu Alumni (Rakuyukai) was held in Gifu City with the participation of forty-five members.

Kyoto University Gifu Alumni (Rakuyukai) consists of Kyoto University graduates, including those who have completed courses, residing in Gifu City.

While Mr. Koji Onogi (1977 graduate from the Faculty of Engineering), the organizer of the meeting, served as the master of ceremonies, Mr. Taemon Okamoto (1953 graduate from the Faculty of Economics), an organizing committee member, gave an opening speech. Then, after a lecture titled "The Latest News regarding Kyoto University" given by Executive Vice-President Hidetoshi Kotera, new members who recently joined the alumni association were introduced.

A social gathering following the meeting was opened with a toast by another organizing committee member, Mr. Mitsuo Yamada (1947 graduate from the Faculty of Medicine). Members spoke about their recent news and deepened their friendship in a relaxed atmosphere.

At the end of the party, the participants all sang Kurenai Moyuru (the dormitory song of the former Third High School) and Biwako Shuko no Uta, closing the meeting on a joyful note.
