The general meeting of Kyoto University Ehime Alumni was held at a hotel in Matsuyama City.

Kyoto University Ehime Alumni consists of Kyoto University graduates now living in Ehime or originally from there.

This year's meeting was attended by nearly sixty members. At the meeting moderated by Secretary General Kazunori Kadota (1971 graduate from the Faculty of Medicine), Chair Koichi Sato (1957 graduate from the Faculty of Agriculture) gave an opening speech, after which Executive Vice-President Hidetoshi Kotera presented a lecture on "The Current Situations of Kyoto University" and Professor Yasutsugu Takada from Ehime University lectured on "The Current Status and Prospect of Liver Transplants in Japan."

At a social party following the meeting, a sign was put up to celebrate the award of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine to Professor Shinya Yamanaka, director of the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA). With Mr. Hiroshi Terauchi (1978 graduate from the Faculty of Letters and a secretary of the alumni association) serving as the master of ceremonies, the party gave way to a friendly exchange of views and ideas among the attendees. At the end of the party, all the attendees sang Biwako Shuko no Uta, followed by closing words from Vice-Chair Kyozo Ayukawa (1955 graduate from the Faculty of Science), which concluded the gathering in a joyful mood.
