A delegation from Kyoto University, which included Executive Vice-President Yuzo Ohnishi, and some members from Singapore Rakuseikai held a meeting in the city of Singapore to exchange opinions and ideas. Consisting of Kyoto University graduates residing in Singapore, Rakuseikai was founded by Chair Yoshida (1967 graduate from the Faculty of Engineering) and other members and became affiliated with Kyoto University Alumni in September 2011.
At the start of the meeting, Executive Vice-President Yuzo Ohnishi briefed the participants on the current status and recent news regarding Kyoto University and the Kyoto University Alumini. Participants then had lively discussions on a variety of issues such as Kyoto University as seen from overseas, changes in the social circumstances surrounding universities, and the future activities expected from the Kyoto University Alumni and Kyoto University. The meeting closed on a positive note.
