An alumni meeting for members of the National Diet who graduated from Kyoto University was held at a hotel in Tokyo. Attending the meeting were twelve Diet members and about sixty government officials, along with from the university about thirty board members, including President Hiroshi Matsumoto, directors and deans.
With Naokazu Takemoto (a House of Representatives member and a 1964 graduate from the Faculty of Law) serving as the master of ceremony, the meeting began with greetings from the participating Diet members, after which President Hiroshi Matsumoto proposed a toast to open the social gathering.
Participants actively exchanged words and ideas with each other in a relaxed atmosphere, and the meeting was concluded in an enjoyable mood.
