The 2011 new year's party of the Kyoto University Osaka Alumni Club was held at the Central Electric Club in Osaka.

The Kyoto University Osaka Alumni Club comprises Kyoto University undergraduate and graduate alumni living in the Kansai Area; the Club currently has approximately 280 members. It holds an annual new year's party in January, plus regular meetings in odd-numbered months, using these occasions as opportunities for friendly exchanges among members through dinners etc., as well as for exposure to cutting-edge research through lectures by current professors of Kyoto University.

At this year's party, attended by 68 participants, following greetings by Chairman Masahiro Suzuki (graduated from the Faculty of Law in 1955), former presidents Toshio Sawada, Hiroo Imura and Makoto Nagao all spoke. The current President, Hiroshi Matsumoto, then gave his greetings. Later, former President Toshio Sawada gave a toast, which opened the party. Everyone enjoyed socializing, and with three calls for banzai by Vice-Chair Kiyoshi Takatsuki (graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 1954), the party came to a close.
