The 2nd Kyoto University Shonan Alumni Meeting was held in Fujizawa. (This was the 2nd meeting after the name was changed from the Chigasaki Alumni Meeting.)
There were 19 attendees at the event who were residents from Chigasaki, Fujizawa as well as Kamakura, Yokohama and Kawasaki. After Mr. Jun Uchida (Faculty of Law, Class of 45) offered the opening toast, Mr. Akimitsu Ohashi (Faculty of Engineering, Class of 53) shared his experiences in bridge construction. After first time attendees had introduced themselves, the former chairman of the Kyoto University Shonan Alumni Meeting, Kisaburo Ueda (Faculty of Engineering, Class of 52), introduced the history from the founding of this Alumni Association to the present. Then, Mr. Hiroshi Goto (Faculty of Science, Class of 50) presented photos of Professor Hideki Yukawa (Faculty of Science, Class of 39).
House of Representatives member Ikko Nakatsuka (Faculty of Engineering, Class of 90) offered greetings and the event ended as a success.
