Kyoto University Day was held at Zhejiang University, located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China.
The purpose of this Kyoto University Day is to introduce Kyoto University itself, and also to conduct academic exchange with Zhejiang University and to give a briefing session on study in Japan; this is the first such event. From Kyoto University, six departments of the Graduate School of Management, the Graduate School of Medicine, the Graduate School of Engineering, the Graduate School of Agriculture, the Graduate School of Informatics, and the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies participated.

The first day began with a greeting address by President Yang, and an overview of Kyoto University was given by Executive Director/Executive Vice-President Shuzo Nishimura, Director-General Junichi Mori of the Organization for the Promotion of International Relations, and Program Officer Han. When Executive Director/Executive Vice-President Shuzo Nishimura presented a Chinese-style poem about Hangzhou in Chinese, the venue thundered with applause.
In the afternoon, each of the participating graduate schools separated to each of their venue campuses, and individually introduced the graduate school and its academic researches, giving model lectures and the like. Then, Vice-President Chu and Vice-President Zheng of Zhejiang University hosted a conference, where active exchange of opinions took place on various topics, including the promotion of student exchanges between Kyoto University and Zhejiang University, and Global 30.

The second day started with Program Officer Han giving an overview of Kyoto University, and continuing from the first day, briefings and admission consultations were given by individual graduate schools.
On both days, participating students eagerly asked questions and brought up specific topics for consultations regarding studying in Japan, such as application procedures for government sponsorship and scholarships. Questions continued up to closing time on both days, the venue brimming with youthful enthusiasm.

On the final night, Chinese Kyoto University graduates hosted an establishment assembly of the alumni association, titled Kyoto University Graduates' Association of China. Approximately 100 participants spoke of their memories of Kyoto University, gave updates on their lives, and shared their feelings on the current Kyoto University in a friendly atmosphere.
