　HOPEプロジェクトワークショップ「人間の進化の霊長類的起源」

１．目的
　「われわれはどこから来たのか」「人間の本性とは何か」そうした根源的な問いに答えるためには、人間がどのように進化してきたのかを知ることが必要です。HOPEプロジェクトでは、それぞれの国の中核的研究拠点とそれに協力する共同研究者が、ヒトを含めた霊長類を対象に、その心と体と社会、さらにその基盤にあるゲノムについて研究しています。当ワークショップでは、世界の第一線で活躍する研究者による最先端の研究成果、および京都大学霊長類研究所における高度な研究実績について紹介します。

３．HOPEプロジェクトとは
　HOPEプロジェクトは、京都大学霊長類研究所を日本側拠点機関とし、日本学術振興会とマックスプランク協会（ドイツ）、ケンブリッジ大学（イギリス）、認知科学工学研究所（イタリア）などの支援のもとに行われる国際戦略型先端研究拠点事業です。
