On 22 March 2018, Masanobu Morita, executive vice-president for general affairs and personnel, gave a keynote lecture at the Global University Forum, held at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Daejeon, South Korea.

Organized as part of the KAIST 2031 Vision Week, the forum aimed to provide a platform for leading universities around the world to share information about administrative initiatives in human resource management and other areas, so as to contribute to their operational development. Participants included representatives from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), as well as Kyoto University and KAIST.

The forum opened with addresses from Associate Vice Dean Ki-Han Kim and Provost O Ok Park of KAIST, after which a lecture was given on KAIST’s action plan for the development of administrative organization. Keynote lectures followed, delivered by Mr Anders Jakobsen, head of DTU's Human Resources Department, Dr Paul Kohn, vice provost of Georgia Tech, and EVP Morita, who, under the title of “HR Management of Non-Academic Staff at Kyoto University”, outlined the latest initiatives by the University’s administrative organizations.

A panel discussion was then held on the topics from the keynote lectures. The lecturers and panelists from KAIST shared opinions on university administrative organization and human resource development, while taking questions from the audience.
