4. Program description:
Our Global COE program started in 2007 and will continue for the next five years. This is a national project facilitating dynamic collaboration with faculty studying psychology and education sciences, and includes promotion of graduate education in Japan by emphasizing international activities and human resource development.

One assistant professor, full time (non-tenure track).

Psychology or educational sciences.
8. Starting date:
As soon as possible on or after July 1, 2008.
9. Contract Conditions:
A fixed term contract employee until the end of March, 2012. Annual salary system (400,000 Japanese yen/month) which will be constant for the entire period of employment, with commuting allowances. Social security is covered.
10. Contents of work:
(1) Research on international comparison of sense of happiness, (2) lectures and/or seminars on psychology or educational sciences, and (3) international exchange and organization for the Global COE program.
11. Qualifications:
Researchers holding a Ph.D. or similar record of excellent research equivalent to a Ph.D. in psychology or educational sciences, as well as fluent spoken and written English.
