Commencement for Doctoral Degrees Held

The Commencement for Doctoral Degrees was held in the Clock Tower Centennial Hall, with the attendance of President Hiroshi Matsumoto, Executive Vice-Presidents, Deans and Vice-Presidents.

Diplomas (dated November 24, 2009 and January 25, 2010) were presented by the President to each of the Kyoto University students who earned their degrees in November 2009 and January 2010. This was followed by a speech by the President.

The diplomas were conferred on 44 students who earned their doctoral degrees in November, (33 doctoral degrees by course and 11 doctoral degrees by thesis/dissertation), and 50 students who did so in January (33 doctoral degrees by course and 17 doctoral degrees by thesis/dissertation).
