To: All Students
The University will be accepting applications for exemption of tuition (including deferment of tuition) for the second semester of the 2010-2011 academic year as follows:
- Eligibility Requirements for Applicants
Undergraduate and graduate students who:
- (1) are of excellent academic standing and find it difficult to pay the tuition due to economic reasons;
- (2) find it extremely difficult to pay the tuition because an individual who is chiefly responsible for their academic expenses ("Academic Expense Supporter") has deceased or the students themselves or their Academic Expense Supporter have incurred damages caused by wind, flood, or other disasters within six months prior to the due date for payment of such tuition (or within twelve months prior to admission, if application for exemption of tuition is being made for a semester to which the day of admission belongs); or
- (3) have reason(s) that are recognized by the President as equivalent to those in (2) above.
- Students whose tuition is currently overdue or who have already paid the tuition for the semester in question are ineligible.
- Payment of tuition for the semester for which exemption is being applied before a decision on acceptance/rejection of the application is given shall be regarded as a withdrawal of such application. - Application Accepted at

Results will be announced late November (subject to change). - Others
If students who have filed an application for exemption of tuition for the first semester wish to apply for exemption for the second semester as well, they will need to file an application again.
If there are any unclear points concerning your application, please direct your inquiries to the relevant office of your faculty or graduate school.
Any changes will be notified via the bulletin board, etc. Be sure to check for any such notices.
