Issuing a Student ID

Payments to the University

If any of the payments described below are not transferred to the University within the specified time period, a demand for payment will be sent to the student and/or the student's guarantor.  Therefore, it is strongly advised that the required payments be transferred within the specified time period.

Delinquency in the transfer of payment of tuition fees is of particular concern, as this will affect the student's standing.

  • Tuition and other expenses
  • Dormitory rent and utility bills

Voluntary Membership

  • Kyoto University Student Health Insurance
  • Personal Accident Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research (Gakusei Kyouiku Kenkyu Saigai Shougai Hoken)
    Personal Liability Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research (Gakkensai Futai Baishou Sekinin Hoken)
  • University Co-operative Union (Seikyo)
    A contribution of over 20,000 yen or more to the share capital required for membership.  The contribution will be refunded when the student graduates.

※ Depending on the Faculty, there may be other fees in addition to those described above.  Freshmen will receive specific information directly from the Faculty in which they are enrolled regarding any relevant fees.
