Kyoto National Museum of Modern Art Campus Members System

The Kyoto National Museum of Modern Art Campus Members System aims to encourage students to become more familiar with art galleries and art during the course of their education. We hope that our membership in the system will be of great benefit Kyoto University students.

Kyoto University became a member of the system on August 1st, 2007. The current period of membership expires in March 2007. Further details regarding our rejoining or discontinuing with the system will be posted here in due course.

Overview

The following benefits (1, 2) are available at the Kyoto National Museum of Modern Art on production of an appropriate Kyoto University (or Kyoto Center for Japanese Studies [KCJS]) identification card.

  1. Free entry to the gallery's permanent collection exhibition
  2. Special exhibitions may be viewed at the group entrance fee rate

*For an annual fee of  2000yen students of member universities can become "special student members," allowing them one free admission to all special exhibitions and other benefits.
