2017-2018 President's Award: call for nominations

The Kyoto University President's Award is a student recognition program established during the 2005-2006 academic year. Awardees are selected by the President from nominees submitted by the University's faculty, staff, and students, and screened by the Student Award Screening Committee (all nominations must be in Japanese).

Faculty, staff, or students who know of an individual or group who might qualify for candidacy are encouraged to submit a nomination to Kagaikatsudo Gakari (extracurricular activities section), Student Affairs Division, Academic Affairs Department. Self-nominations are allowed.

Eligibility for the 2017-2018 Award

Eligible candidates are individuals or groups who expect to be enrolled in Kyoto University as of mid-March 2018, and who have contributed to elevating the University's prestige through their achievements in academic, extracurricular, and public-service activities as defined below:

  1. Esteemed accomplishments that resulted from academic or research activities
  2. Excellent results achieved at nationwide competitions or contests in extracurricular activities
  3. Exemplary actions taken in the course of performing volunteer services, or activities that received public recognition
  4. Other achievements and actions comparable to above, and deemed worthy of the President's Award

How to nominate

Complete the Nomination Form and prepare supporting documents (photocopies) as per the Nomination Guidelines below, and submit them to Kagaikatsudo Gakari.
