Student Lounge 'KI-ZU-NA' hosts a field trip to Amanohashidate (14 November 2015)

The 'KIZUNA' event for November was an excursion to Amanohashidate and other locations in northern Kyoto Prefecture.

In this lavish one-day trip planned and managed by NPO Kitakinki-Mirai, participants traveled by chartered bus.

The first stop was Omiya Fureai Factory in Kyotango City, where the participants took part in a dyeing workshop and dyed eco-friendly shopping bags in their favorite colors.

For lunch, they made delicious bara-zushi (sushi with a variety of ingredients sprinkled on the rice) with fresh seafood, which they enjoyed with several other dishes. Afterwards, they experienced a Japanese-style hot spring in a hotel.

Unfortunately, it was raining in the afternoon, but the group took a cable car to Kasamatsu Park for a stunning view of Amanohashidate.

The event provided a great opportunity for the participants to learn about northern Kyoto Prefecture as well as to get to know and make friends with other students.
