The 'KIZUNA' event for October was "Mount Daimonji Hiking", a hugely popular annual event that has continued for nine years.
Participants took the Philosopher's Walk to Daimonji Mountain, and hiked up a sometimes-steep trail, before arriving at one of the "Hidoko", which are fire pits for the famous Gozan no Okuribi festival (Daimonji Festival) held in August. They had lunch while taking in the spectacular view of Kyoto, and continued to chat with new friends as they climbed down the mountain.
